Passed 5. Kyu
Yes, done! I passed the 5. kyu exam today. I already did the kata (ikkyo) at wednesday training and passed it. So the rest was on today and I managed to perform all techniques in quite a good manner. Of course, there are always things to do better or to advance, but all in all, it was correct and good.
It begun in the morning (12am ;-). There were only daniel, markus, hendrik (who left after 1 hour), mago and me. I was happy that mago showed up as I hoped to have him as uke.
I've been a bit nervous at the beginning and was a bit hasty at ikkyo and irimi, but after having showed and passed them, I already had a good feeling as i like both, kotegaeshi and shihonage, much more.
So, I got now my yellow belt and I'm no longer just a "beginner" (of course I'll always be a beginner in this fighting art but I think you know what I mean). Therefore, there's no need anymore for this blog. I mean even the url is wrong now... ;-)
I will not stop posting new entries, but it will not be that often and on a regular basis anymore. Just when something happened or was showed in the training worth telling about it. I think the best for you, my dear reader, would be, to have my blog as an rss feed in your bookmarks, then you'll see when I got something new to tell you :)
I hope you enjoyed following a freshman in aikido from his beginnings to his first test, not beeing a beginner anymore.
Yours,
Lemy
